Astrology Birth Chart of Robert Moses

Robert Moses is an American civil servant who works mainly in the New York metropolitan area. Known as the "master builder" of New York City, Long Island, Rockland County and Westchester County in the mid-20th century, he is sometimes compared to Baron Haussmann of the Second Reich of Paris, and is one of the most polarizing figures in the history of Urban Development in the United States. His decisions in favor of the highway over public transport helped create the modern suburbs of Long Island. Although not a trained construction engineer, Moses programs and designs have influenced a generation of engineers, architects and town planners across the country. Moses held up to 12 official titles simultaneously, including the New York City Park Commissioner and the Long Island State Park Commission Chairman, but was never elected to any public office. He ran only once, as a Republican candidate for governor of New York in 1934, and lost in a landslide.

An urban planner in New York who helped to shape the city's streets and highways. Because his decisions and priorities were re-created in large part in other metropolitan U.S. cities, he became a highly divisive figure among urban planners.
