About Alice Herz-sommer
Jewish pianist and music teacher who, as of 2014, has been considered the oldest Holocaust survivor of the Theresienstadt concentration camp. She was 110 years old in 2014.
Before Fame
She studied music at the Prague German Conservatory of Music and started playing concerts prior to the German occupation of Prague.
Achievement
Random House published a book about her life called "A Century of Wisdom: Lessons From the Life of Alice Herz-Sommer" in 2012.
Family Life
She married businessman Leopold Sommer in 1931 and, they had a son who died in 2001.
