She made her debut in porn thriller The Crush, won the MTV Movie for Best Breakthrough Performance in 1994, and emerged at the age of 16 as a teen idol when she first appeared appeared in the music video for "Cryin" "From Aerosmith. Silverstone went on to star in the teen comedy Clueless, which earned him a million dollar deal with Columbia Pictures, and in big budget Batman & Robin, playing Batgirl. Silverstone received a Golden Globe nomination for Best Actress - A musical or comedy drama for her role in the NBC short series Miss Match. She continued to act in movies, television and theater. Vegetarian, Silverstone has endorsed PETA's activities and published a vegan cookbook, The Kind Diet.
