Russian women's figure skater most notable for winning the 2021 World Figure Skating Championships in Stockholm, Sweden. She competed at the 2022 Olympics winning a gold medal in the women's singles event. She was a Russian national champion three years consecutively from 2019 to 2021. She became a Nike endorsed athlete in 2020.
She first began ice skating as a child. A few years later, she won gold at the 2016 Russian Youth Championships.
She has been credited for being the first women's ice skater to land a quad lutz in an international competition. A quad lutz is considered to be the second-most difficult jump move in ice skating.
She was born and raised in Moscow, Russia. She is one of three siblings.
