Boris Tadić is a Serbian politician who was president of Serbia from 2004 to 2012. Tadić has been a member of the Democratic Party since its inception in 1990, and served as their president from 2004 to year. 2012. After the fall of Miloševi fell, he was appointed to the government. was the Minister of Communications of the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia and later became the Prime Minister of Defense of Serbia and Montenegro before being elected President in 2004. He was re-elected for a second term in 2008. After a failure in the 2012 presidential election and a poor evaluation of the party, he resigned in November 2012, to assume the post of honorary president of the party. After separating from the new leadership in January 2014, Tadić left the Democratic Party and formed his own New Democratic Party for the 2014 parliamentary elections. Tadić strongly supports the close ties with Lien, the European Union and the European integration of Serbia.
