Brendon Smith is an Australian competitive swimmer who specializes in 400m individual medley event. Named by SwimSwam as one of the top-10 Australian male swimmers under 20 to watch, Brendon is continually breaking his personal bests. In 2018 at Junior Pan Pacific Championship, he placed fourth in the 400-meter Individual Medley, fifth in the 200-meter Freestyle, and sixth in the 800-meter Freestyle. At the 2019 World University Games, he won bronze medal in the 800-meter Free and was a finalist in the 400-meter IM. Brendon, who is also volunteer Surf Life Saver, says he is looking forward to representing Australia and the New York Breakers as a professional swimmer with the International Swimming League. "I love to race," the Australian native says, "But I understand there's a huge grind that goes on behind the scenes, and I'm motivated to train hard to meet my competitive goals."
