Curren Caples is a professional skateboarder from Ventura, California. He turned pro in March 2013 and his first professional competition was Tampa Pro, where he placed 69. In 2013, he lost the Tampa Pro in 15th place, overtaken by Jake Anderson, who won the competition. At the X Games Barcelona 2013 he won a silver medal in the skate park. That same year, he won the VQS windsurfing competition in Kauai by defeating Koa Smith, owner of Sunrise Shack. At the 2013 X Games Munich, he won a platinum in skateboarding, beating his favorite, Pedro Barros. Caples qualified second after Barros in the qualifying skateboard park at Austin X Games 2014, finally finishing first in the final. During the street skateboarding event, he was knocked out of qualifying by Ryan Sheckler, failing to make it into the top six. Most recently, he ranked 18th at the 2019 CBDMD Peahi Championship in Maui.
