David Gaub McCullough is an American author, storyteller, historian and lecturer. He is a two-time Pulitzer Prize and National Book Award winner and recipient of the Presidential Medal of Freedom, America's highest civilian honor. Born and raised in Pittsburgh, McCullough graduated from Yale University with a degree in English Literature. His first books were the Johnstown Flood; and since then he has written nine other articles on such topics as Harry S. Truman, John Adams, Brooklyn Bridge and the Wright Brothers. McCullough has also reported numerous documentaries, such as Ken Burns' The Civil War, as well as the 2003 film Seabiscuit; and it hosted the American experience for twelve years. McCullough's Pulitzer Prize-winning books John Adams and John Adams have been adapted into TV series and mini-series, respectively.
