Edwin Sherin is an American film and television director and producer. Sherin's wife is actress Jane Alexander and her stepson Jace Alexander is similarly voiced, with whom he collaborated on the law / police procedural drama Law & Order for thirty-two times. He has directed numerous episodes of the Law & Order television series, as well as directed for the stage, primarily on Broadway, including The Great White Hope, which starred Alexander in the entire theater and film version.
