About Eric Mencher
Photographer who is known for specializing in dramatically lit street photography taken with the iPhone. He is also known for having been a photojournalist for the newspaper the Philadelphia Inquirer.
Starting his career as a photojournalist, he later ditched his cameras and started shooting exclusively on the iPhone. He started sharing his works through Instagram in January of 2012.
He is known for also being the recipient of the Overseas Press Club Award for his work on the documentary piece "Rwanda: Aftermath of Genocide".
He was born and raised in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
He is known for having produced a series of photos on life in Cuba under the ruling of Fidel Castro.
