She is best known for her role as Kelly Garrett in the TV series The Angels of Charlie, and is the only female lead who has stayed with the series during the series. She reappeared this role with appearances in the films Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle and Charlie's Angels. His other films include Nightkill and Deja Vu. From the 1980s, she began to develop and market her own brands of clothing and perfumes. Smith began his career in 1969 in television commercials. In 1976, she joined Charlie's Angels, alongside Kate Jackson and Farrah Fawcett. The show made all three of them famous, including being on the cover of Time magazine.
