He is the music director of the Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra after 20 years operating, the longest of any musical directors in the orchestra's history. He is currently the Music Director of the Sarasota Music Festival, a program of the Sarasota Orchestra, and is a keyboard research professor at the Thornton School of Music at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles, California.
