Jejomar Binay^[b] served as the 13th Vice President of the Philippines under President Benigno Aquino III. He was a presidential candidate in the 2016 Philippine presidential election. He was appointed by former President Corazon Aquino as officer-in-charge of Makati from 1986 to 1987. After his assignment, he was elected mayor Makati in 1988 and served until 1998. Concurrently, he acted as the Chairman of the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority from 1990 to 1991. In 2001, he was reelected as mayor and served until 2010. He resigned as Chairman of the Housing and Urban Development Coordinating Council and as Presidential Adviser on Overseas Filipino Workers on June 22, 2015.

About Jejomar Binay
Member of the United Nationalist Alliance political party who served as the 15th Vice President of the Philippines from June of 2010 to June of 2016 under President Benigno S. Aquino III. He ran for President in the 2016 Philippines presidential election.
Before Fame
He served as the Chairman of the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority from 1998 to 2001 before taking over the role of Mayor of Makati from 2001 to 2010.
