John Quincy Adams was an American politician, diplomat, lawyer and cafeteria, was the sixth President of the United States from 1825 to 1829. Previously he was the eighth Secretary of State from 1817 to 1825. Born in Braintree, Massachusetts, Adams spent most of his youth in Europe where his father was a diplomat. After returning to the United States, Adams established a successful legal practice in Boston.
