Jonathan Drew Groff is an American actor and singer known for his stage, screen, and television performances. Groff is a Grammy Award recipient and has been nominated for two Tony Awards. Groff rose to prominence in 2006 for his role as Melchior Gabor in the original Broadway musical Spring Awakening, in which he received critical acclaim and was nominated for the Tony Award for Best Actor. in the musical. He returned to Broadway in 2015 to play King George III in Hamilton, a performance in which he won a Tony Award nomination for Best Actor in a musical.
