Jukka Henri Kristian Backlund is a Finnish multi-instrumental music producer and artist. Backlund was once a member of Finnish rock band Sunrise Avenue, where he played the keyboard. He is famous for producing his debut album, On the Way to Wonderland, which is Finland's best-selling debut international album. Many of the songs on the album were co-written by Backlund and lead singer Samu Haber, including the singles "Fairytale Gone Bad" and "Forever Yours". As a musician, Backlund has worked as a band and keyboardist for many artists since the start of his professional career in 1998. In 2011 he formed the pop-fusion group DEAD SIRIUS 3000. together with his brother Tapio Backlund and guitarist Petteri Sariola. In this group, Backlund played the drums. Backlund started learning classical piano at the age of 5. He later studied jazz and musical composition in the youth department of the Sibelius Academy. Her father is jazz musician Kaj Backlund.
