About Katherine Berman
Pastry chef who co-founded the Washington, D.C. pastry shop Georgetown Cupcake in 2008. She is one of the stars of the TLC reality series D.C. Cupcakes and has been featured in media outlets like the New York Times, the NBC Today Show and ABC Nightline.
She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in politics from Marymount University. She was later hired as an assistant to the Vice President at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace.
She co-authored the bestselling books The Cupcake Diaries and Sweet Celebrations.
She co-founded Georgetown Cupcake with her sister Sophie LaMontagne. She has a daughter named Isis with Benjamin Berman, whom she has been married to since September 2011.
Like Candace Nelson, she is a pastry chef who has starred on a reality show.
