In 2016, she was part of Waitress's original cast on Broadway as Becky. In 2017, she played the role of Lettie Lutz, a bearded woman, in the musical film The Greatest Showman. The film's song "This Is Me", lead by Settle, won the 2018 Golden Globe Award for Best Original Song and was nominated for an Oscar for Best Original Song. On January 27, 2019, Settle performed "Seasons of Love" on Fox's Rent: Live.
