Mana Ashida is a talented Japanese actress, singer and songwriter. Ashida's debut was in the Asahi Broadcasting Corporation's Short Movie ABC 2, although she rose to prominence after starring in the TV series Mother. She became the youngest star in the history of Japanese theater when starring in the movie Sayonara Bokutachi no Youchien. She is the youngest actress in the soap opera, appearing in the soap opera Marumo no Okite in spring 2011. She has also appeared in Japanese films such as Confessions and Usagi Drop. Ashida and her co-star Fuku Suzuki performed the 2011 hit song "Maru Maru Mori Mori", the theme song for the TV series Marumo no Okite.
