Matthew Fontaine Maury is an American astronomer, naval officer, historian, oceanographer, meteorologist, cartographer, author, geologist, and educator. He was nicknamed "Sea Navigator" and "Father of Modern Naval Oceanography and Meteorology" and later "Scientist of the Sea" for many of his books. , especially the physical geography of the sea, was also very vast in the past. a book on oceanography will be published.
