She is a Dominican actress, model, and television personality who is noted for her voice acting work as well as her recurring roles on television. She is well known for hosting various RAI network programs and for starring in the films Il Conte di Melissa (2001) and The Family of Memories (1996).
She began her modeling career as a contestant in the Miss Universe Dominican Republic pageant, where she first gained attention. She rose to prominence as a UNESCO ambassador in 1989, and she made her television debut in the miniseries College the following year. Her career as a host began in 1993, when she hosted a live show on the Rai 2 network.
She is also recognized for her voice acting talents, having appeared in The Gabbianella and the Cat in 1998.
She was born and reared in the Dominican Republic's Santo Domingo. She is also recognized for marrying Prince Fulco Ruffo of Belgium.
