Mike Piazza

Michael Joseph Piazza is a former professional baseball player who played 16 seasons in Major League Baseball from 1992 to 2007. He notably played for the New York Mets and Los Angeles The Dodgers while also having a brief stint with the Florida Marlins, San Diego Padres and Oakland Athletics. As a 12-time All-Star winner and 10-time Silver Slugger winner on capture, Piazza created solid attacking numbers in his stead; over the course of his career, he has scored 427 home runs - including a record 396 receivers - averaging 308 shots and 1,335 attempts. Piazza is currently the coach of the Italian national baseball team. The Piazza was drafted by the Dodgers in the 1988 MLB Draft in favor of Tommy Lasorda for Piazza's father. Originally a first-team player, Piazza turned to catching balls in small tournaments at Lasorda's suggestion to improve his chances of being promoted.
