Ralph Nathaniel Twisleton-Wykeham-Fiennes is an English actor, producer and director. As a performer of Shakespeare, he achieved success on stage for the first time at the Royal National Theater. The Nazi war crime role Amon Göth in the Schindler de Fiennes list earned him an Oscar nomination for Best Supporting Actor and the Golden Globe Award for Best Supporting Actor, and he won the BAFTA Award for Best Supporting Actor in a supporting actor. His performance as Count Almásy in The English Patient earned him his second Oscar nomination, this time for Best Actor, as well as BAFTA and Golden Globe nominations. Fiennes has appeared in a number of other notable movies including Quiz Show, Strange Days, The End of the Affair, Red Dragon, Maid in Manhattan, The Constant Gardener, In Bruges, The Reader, Clash of the Titans, Great Expectations and The Grand Hotel in Budapest.
