Robert Ervin Howard is an American author who has written novels in a variety of genres. He is best known for his character Conan the Barbarian and is considered the father of the bloodline of swords and magic. Howard was born and raised in Texas. He spent most of his life in the town of Cross Plains, with some time near Brownwood. As a curious and inquisitive kid, he was also a boxing fan and spent some time building bodybuilding as a teenager, eventually getting into residual boxing. From the age of 9, he dreamed of becoming an adventure novelist but did not really succeed until the age of 23. press, and he became proficient in some sub-branches. His greatest success came after his death. Although a novel about Conan was almost published in 1934, Howard's stories were never collected in his life.
