Tayane Porfirio was born on December 11, 1994 in Sobral, Ceará, Brazil, is a Brazilian black belt champion of the 4x Jitsu World Championship. In 2017, Tayane set an unprecedented Grand Slam Brazil Jiu Jitsu record by winning weight and absolute at the four major Gi Championships - World Championship, European Open Championship, Pan Jiu-Jitsu Championship and Brazilian National Championship. She started 2018 by winning the 2018 European Open again both in weight and absolute. Tayane missed out on Pan Ams 2018 but came back from a minor injury to win in her category and absolute place in the 2018 Brazilian league. himself again and absolute place at the 2018 World Championship. She was raised in the Jacarepaguá neighborhood of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. She began practicing jiu-jitsu in 2010.
In 2017, she accomplished the unprecedented feat of winning gold at the World, European, Pan Jiu-Jitsu and Brazilian Nationals in the same year.
Her older sister has also practiced jiu-jitsu.
She and Beatriz Mesquita both represented Brazil at the 2018 World Jiu-Jitsu Championships.
