Thomas Robert Laughlin Jr. is an American actor, director, screenwriter, author, educator, and activist. Laughlin is known through the Billy Jack series. He was married to actress Delores Taylor from 1954 until his death. Taylor co-produced and starred in all four Billy Jack films. Its unique promotion of The Trial of Billy Jack greatly influenced the way the film is marketed. In the early 1960s, Laughlin interrupted his film career to open a Montessori preschool in Santa Monica, California; it became the largest school of its kind in the United States. During the last years of his life, he went to the office of the President of the United States in 1992, 2004 and 2008. He participated in psychological counseling and family abuse, wrote a number of books on psychology Jungienne and distributed Development of the theory of the cause of cancer.
