Thomas Stephen Monaghan is an American businessman who founded Domino's Pizza in 1960. He owned the Detroit Tigers from 1983 to 1992. Monaghan also owns Domino's Farms Office Park, located in Ann Arbor Charter Township, Michigan. He started building in 1984 Monaghan is Catholic and announced his retirement in 1998 after 38 years working for Domino's Pizza Inc. Monaghan sold 93% of the company's shares to Bain Capital, Inc. for about $ 1 billion, no longer participate in the day-to-day operations of the company, and then devote considerable time and assets to Catholic purposes.
