Tracee Joy Silberstein, known as Tracee Ellis Ross, is an American actress, singer, television presenter, producer and director. She is known for her lead roles in the Girlfriends and Black-ish television series. Ross owns Pattern Beauty, a hair care line for curly hair. Ross is the daughter of Motown actress and recording artist Diana Ross and Robert Ellis Silberstein. She started acting in independent films and television series. She hosts the popular cultural magazine The Dish on Lifetime. From 2000-2008, she starred in Joan Clayton in the UPN / CW comedy series Girlfriends, receiving two NAACP Image Awards for Best Actress in a Comedy Series. She also appeared in the films Hanging Up, I-See-You.Com and Daddy's Little Girls, before returning to television as Dr Carla Reed in the sitcom BET Reed Between the Lines, the series in which she received his third NAACP Image Award.
