Willie Fleming

Willie Fleming is a former Canadian professional soccer player with the British Columbia Lions of the Canadian Football Federation. Fleming played in college as a winger at the University of Iowa, where he was a member of the Hawkeyes' Rose Bowl Championship team in 1959. He is a member of the Canadian Football Hall of Fame, BC Sports Hall of Fame and BC Lions Wall of Fame. Fleming's No.15 jersey was one of eight numbers withdrawn by the Lions. In 2003, Fleming was voted a member of the BC Lions' All-Time Dream Team as part of the club's 50th anniversary. In 2006, Fleming was selected by the Canadian sports network TSN as one of the CFL's 50 best players of the modern era. Fleming nicknamed "The Wisp" or "Will 'o the Wisp" because of his elusive racing style.
