A turbocharger, colloquially known as turbo, is a turbine-driven, forced induction device that increases an internal combustion engine's power output by forcing extra compressed air into the combustion chamber. This improvement over a naturally aspirated engine's power output is because the compressor can force more air—and proportionately more fuel—into the combustion chamber than atmospheric pressure alone. Manufacturers commonly use turbochargers in truck, car, train, aircraft, and construction-equipment engines. They are most often used with Otto cycle and diesel cycle internal combustion engines.

关于Turbo

In this animated comedy sports film, a garden snail tries to win the Indy 500. David Soren wrote and directed the film in his directorial debut.

Turbo的成就

The movie is actors Samuel L. Jackson and Bill Hader's second animated film performance. Snoop Dogg sings and stars in the film.

Boost gauge - A boost gauge is a pressure gauge that indicates manifold air pressure or turbocharger or supercharger boost pressure in an internal combustion engine. They are commonly mounted on the dashboard, on the driver's side pillar, or in a radio slot.. Engine downsizing - In the automotive industry, engine downsizing is the practice of utilizing smaller combustion engines over larger ones of the same power capacity when manufacturing vehicles.. Exhaust pulse pressure charging - Exhaust pulse pressure charging is a system for supercharging two-stroke diesel engines of the loop-scavenge type. Loop-scavenge engines cannot be pressure-charged in the same way as uniflow engines or four-stroke engines because the inlet and exhaust ports are open at the same time.. Hybrid turbocharger - A hybrid turbocharger is an electric turbocharger consisting of a high speed turbine-generator and a high speed electric air compressor. The turbine and compressor are high-speed aeromachines, as in a conventional turbocharger.. Twin-turbo - Twin-turbo refers to an engine in which two turbochargers compress the intake fuel/air mixture. The most common layout features two identical turbochargers in parallel; other twin-turbo layouts include sequential and staged turbocharging..
