Theodore Sturgeon is an American novelist specializing in fantasy, science fiction and horror, as well as a critic. He wrote around 400 reviews and over 120 short stories, 11 novels and several Star Trek scripts. Sturgeon's sci-fi novel More Than Human won the 1954 Delusional International Award for Best Novel of the Year, and American science fiction writers rated "Baby is Three" instead. Fifth in the "Best Science Fiction Novel of All Time" until 1964. Ranking by votes for all of their pre-1965 novels, Sturgeon ranked second among writers, behind Robert Heinlein. Science Fiction and Fantasy Hall of Fame introduced Sturgeon in 2000, his fifth class consisting of two dead writers and two living writers.
