His greatest success was "In the Jailhouse Now", which ranked for 37 weeks in 1955, 21 of which ranked number one. Pierce also dominated the charts for several weeks with the recordings "Slow", "Love, Love, Love", "I Don't Care", "There Stands the Glass", "More and More", "I Ain 't Never ", and his first number one song" Wondering ", held fourth place over 27 weeks on the chart in 1952. He also recorded a country gospel song" I Love Him Dearly ". His iconic hit "Teenage Boogie" was picked up by British band T. Rex as "I Love to Boogie" in 1974, but he is credited as singer Marc Bolan, not Pierce. Webb's music was also popularized on the rockabilly scene in England in the 1980s and 1990s
