Frederick McCubbin é um artista australiano, professor de arte e membro proeminente do movimento artístico da Heidelberg School, também conhecido como Australian Impressionist School. Nascido e criado em Melbourne, Victoria, McCubbin estudou na National Gallery of Victoria Art School sob a direção de vários artistas, incluindo Eugene von Guerard e mais tarde George Folingsby.
