John Patrick Beilein is an American professional basketball coach. He was recently the head coach of the Cleveland Cavaliers National Basketball Association. Prior to joining the Cavaliers, he coached Michigan Wolverines, West Virginia Mountaineers, Richmond Spiders, Canisius Golden Griffins in NCAA Division I as well as Moyne College, Nazareth College and Erie Community College. Beilein has won 754 career games at four-year colleges and a total of 829 games, including those at the junior college level. Beilein's total career wins over the time at Cleveland were 843 games. Beilein is the only active college coach to have won 20 seasons at four different levels: junior college, NCAA Division III, NCAA Division II and NCAA Division I. Beilein is one of only six Division I coaches to have won 700 or more in his career.

Legendary NCAA coach who took over as head coach of the University of Michigan Wolverines in 2007 and guided them to the NCAA Championship games in 2013 and 2018, as well as the Elite Eight in 2014. His teams are noted for their offensive efficiency, which includes few turnovers, dynamic off-the-ball movement, and excellent three-point shooting. He was hired coach of the Cleveland Cavaliers in 2019.
