Astrology Birth Chart of John Browning

John Moses Browning is an American firearms designer who developed a wide variety of handguns, cartridges, and military and civilian weapon structures - many of which are still in use around the world. He built the first pistol at the age of 13 at his father's gun store, and obtained the first of 128 gun patents on October 7, 1879, at the age of 24. He was considered one of the most successful weapon designers of the 19th and 20th centuries, and pioneered the development of modern automatic and semi-automatic pistols. Browning influenced almost every hand gun design. He invented or made significant improvements to single-shot rifles, levers, and pump and shotguns. Arguably his most important contributions were in the field of self-reloading guns. He developed the first compact and reliable self-loaded pistols by inventing the telescopic bolt, then integrating the barrel lock and shroud into what was known as the pistol's slider.

When he invented the M1911 pistol, the Winchester model 1892, and the Browning Automatic Rifle, he altered the world of firearms. He also invented the Colt-Browning Model 1895, the first gas-operated machine gun, and his guns are still the most imitated in the world.
