The Bakuman duo's second film, also a hit with 15 million releases. In 2014, Ohba collaborated with the creator of My Little Monster Robico for the movie "Skip! Yamada-kun". Another series with Obata titled Platinum End began in Jump SQ magazine in December 2015 on November 4, 2015. Ohba's true identity is a kept secret. They cite Shotaro Ishinomori, Fujiko Fujio and Fujio Akatsuka as the manga creators for whom they are so much inspired. As indicated in the profile placed at the beginning of each Death Note manga, Ohba collects tea cups and develops a manga storyline while kneeling in a chair, similar to the habit of L, one of the main characters in the series.

Best known for his titles Death Note and Bakuman, he is a comic book and manga ghost writer. For his work, he has been nominated for various honors, including the Tezuka Osamu Cultural Prize and the Manda Taisho award.
