Billy Southworth
William Harold Southworth is an American Right Punch, Center Punch, and Major League Baseball manager. As a player in 1913 and 1915 and from 1918 to 1929 for the tournament's five major football teams, Southworth appeared in nearly 1,200 games, missing just 1,300 hits and losses. Southworth administered in 1929 and from 1940 to 1951. He oversees three St. Louis Cardinals won the pennant, won two World Series tournaments and another pennant with the Boston Braves, the last National League title in the history of baseball in Boston. As manager of the Cardinals, his .642 win rate is the second-highest in franchise history and the highest since 1900. Late in life, Southworth served as a spy for the Braves. He endured many tragedies during his baseball career, suffering the deaths of his twins for the first time and the deaths of his wife and adult son. He died in 1969. He was inducted into Baseball Fame Hall in 2008.
