Daniel Samir Chopra is a Swedish professional golfer. Chopra was born in Stockholm, Sweden. He represents Sweden and his mother is Swedish, but his father is Indian and Daniel moved to India at the age of 7, where he was raised by his grandparents. He won the All-India Young Golf Championship at the age of 14. Chopra turned professional in 1992. From 1996 to 2002, he played intermittently on the European Tour, sometimes failing to keep his travel card, and in 2004 he joined the US PGA Tour. In 2007, he won his first PGA Tour event at the Ginn sur Mer Classic in Tesoro. Two PGA Tour tournaments later, he claimed another victory in the opening season of the Mercedes-Benz Championship. After her second PGA Tour victory, Chopra's career began to hover between the PGA Tour and the National Second Division. A tough 2010 season, where he made just eight cups on the PGA Tour in 28 events, cost him his Tour Pass. He won the National Tour Fresh Express Classic at TPC Stonebrae in 2011.
