The Agonist is a Canadian metal band from Montreal, Quebec, formed in 2004. The current lineup includes guitarists Danny Marino and Pascal Jobin, bassist Chris Kells, drummer Simon Mckay and singer Vicky. Psarakis, who joined in March 2014 following the departure of singer and founding member Alissa White-Gluz. Psarakis and White-Gluz both use clear and growling vocals. Originally known as Tempest, the band took their current nickname when signing with Century Media in 2007. To date, Agonist has released six studio albums; finally, Orphans, was released in September 2019. On tour since their debut album, they have stood on the same stage with bands such as Arsonists Get All the Girls, Epica, The Faceless, Chelsea Grin, Kamelot. and Visions of Atlantis.
