He is the host and producer of the radio and television series This American Life and has appeared on other NPR shows including Morning Edition, All Things Considered and Talk of the Nation. His work on radio and television has won him awards such as Edward R. The Murrow Prize for Outstanding Contributions to Public Radio and the George Polk Award for Radio Reporting. Glass is from Baltimore and started working in radio as a teenager. During the summer break while studying at Brown University, he worked alongside Keith Talbot at NPR. He worked as a story writer and interviewer for many years before starting to cover his own stories in his late twenties. After moving to Chicago, he continued to work on All Things Considered public radio programs and The Wild Room co-hosted by him.
