Julie Wu Chu is an American Olympic ice hockey player who plays as a forward for the United States women's ice hockey team and a defensive position for the Canadian team. She won the Patty Kazmaier Award in 2007 for the best female varsity hockey player while studying at Harvard. She ended her college career as the all-time builder and scorer in NCAA history with 284 points until the record was set in 2011. She is tied as the second-most American woman. decorated with the history of the Winter Olympics. She was chosen by members of the United States team to hold the flag at the closing ceremony of the 2014 Olympic Winter Games in Sochi. Chu was an assistant coach at the University of Minnesota Duluth and helped the Bulldogs' women's ice hockey team win the fourth NCAA Division I National Championship in 2008 and coached at Union University for the year 2010–2013.
