Max Richter is an English composer and pianist of German origin. He works on post-consensusism and in the meeting of styles of contemporary classical and alternative popular music. Richter was well educated, graduated from the Royal Academy of Music in London with a degree in composition and studied with Luciano Berio in Italy. Richter has arranged, performed and composed for theater, opera, ballet and screen. He has collaborated with other musicians, as well as with performers, installations and the media. He has recorded eight solo albums and his music is widely used in cinema. Richter composed and composed the war animated film Waltz with Bashir by Ari Folman, for which he was widely acclaimed. By December 2019, Richter had passed a billion streams and a million album sales.
