Alexander Gillespie Raymond Jr. ist ein US-amerikanischer Animator, der vor allem für die Erstellung des Flash Gordon-Comics für King Features Syndicate im Jahr 1934 bekannt ist. Ende 1933 schuf Raymond den epischen Science-Fiction-Comic Flash Gordon, um mit dem berühmten Buck Rogers-Comic zu konkurrieren. Bald darauf war Flash die beliebteste Linie. Raymond arbeitete gleichzeitig mit The Flash auch an der Jungle Jim Jungle Adventure Story und dem Secret Agent X-9 Spy Adventure, obwohl er aufgrund seiner wachsenden Arbeitsbelastung den Secret Agent verließ. X-9 für einen anderen Künstler im Jahr 1935.
