Bhanu Pratap Singh is MP in the eighth Lok Sabha of the Pilibhit electoral district, elected in 1984 by the vote of the National Assembly. Bhanu Pratap Singh is the son of Daulat Rai Yadubansi, a farmer from Agras village, Bareilly district, Uttar Pradesh. Bhanu Pratap Singh went to high school in Bareilly and after that he obtained a medical degree from Ayurved College, Pilibhit, England, married Gayatri Devi in May 1956 and had two sons and a daughter. He has been an agronomist and commissioner of the Bareilly district parliament since 1964. He was elected secretary general of the district National Assembly committee for 1967–72.
