Bill Holbrook ist ein amerikanischer Animator, Autor und Webcomic-Künstler, der vor allem für sein Comic-Buch On the Fastrack bekannt ist. Holbrook wurde in Los Angeles geboren, wuchs in Huntsville, Alabama, auf und begann schon in jungen Jahren mit dem Zeichnen. Während seines Studiums in Illustration und Grafikdesign an der Auburn University war Holbrook Art Director der Studentenzeitung und produzierte wöchentlich redaktionelle Animationen und Mangas. Gleichzeitig werden seine Arbeiten in der Huntsville Times und im Monroe Journal veröffentlicht. Nach seinem Abschluss 1980 trat er der Atlanta Constitution als Künstlerredakteur bei. Als Holbrook 1982 seine Lieben im Westjordanland besuchte, lernte er den Schöpfer von Peanuts, Charles Schulz, kennen. Nach seinem Rat und seiner Ermutigung drehte Holbrook einen Film über einen College-Absolventen, der in einem heruntergekommenen Restaurant arbeitet. Es weckte kein Interesse in der Community, aber was er über dieses Band erfuhr, half ihm, als er On the Fastrack drehte.
