Phillip Bradley Bird ist ein US-amerikanischer Animator, Regisseur, Drehbuchautor, Produzent und Synchronsprecher. Er hat bei den Animationsfilmen The Iron Giant, The Incredibles, seinen Fortsetzungen Incredibles 2 und Ratatouille sowie bei den Live-Action-Filmen Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol und Tomorrowland Regie geführt. Geboren in Kalispell, MT, entwickelte Bird schon in jungen Jahren eine Vorliebe für Animationen und wurde von Milt Kahl, einem von Disneys berühmten Nine Old Men, betreut. Er ist Mitglied einer der ersten Abschlussklassen der California Academy of the Arts bei John Lasseter und Tim Burton. Bird begann dann seine Karriere als Animator für Disney in den Filmen The Fox and the Hound und The Black Cauldron und schrieb das Drehbuch für Bat Battery Not Included. Er war auch der kreative Berater von Die Simpsons während der ersten acht Staffeln, wo er half, den Animationsstil der Show zu entwickeln. 1999 drehte Bird seinen ersten Animationsfilm Iron Giant.
