Brett W. Gurewitz, genannt Mr. Brett, ist ein US-amerikanischer Musiker und Plattenproduzent, der vor allem als Lead-Gitarrist und Songwriter von Bad Religion bekannt ist. Außerdem ist er Inhaber des Musiklabels Epitaph Records und einiger Schwesterlabels. Er hat unter anderem Alben für Bad Religion sowie die Labelkollegen von Epitaph Records NOFX, Rancid und Pennywise produziert. Gurewitz hatte auch ein Projekt namens Error, an dem auch Atticus Ross, Leopold Ross und Greg Puciato teilnahmen. Er ist auch Mitbegründer des Comic- und Graphic Novel-Verlags Black Mask Studios. Gurewitz gründete Bad Religion 1980 mit Greg Graffin, Jay Bentley und Jay Ziskrout. Nach der Veröffentlichung von zwei Alben und einer EP verließ Gurewitz 1983 Bad Religion, trat jedoch drei Jahre später wieder bei und nahm fünf weitere Alben mit der Band auf, bevor sie 1993 bei Atlantic Records unterschrieben. Der Erfolg seines Plattenlabels Epitaph veranlasste Gurewitz, Bad . zu verlassen Religion noch einmal im Jahr 1994 und führen das Label auf Vollzeitbasis.
