David Vickerman Bedford ist ein englischer Komponist und Musiker. Er schrieb und spielte populäre und klassische Musik. Er ist der Bruder des Dirigenten Steuart Bedford und der Enkel des Komponisten, Künstlers und Autors Herbert Bedford und der Komponistin Liza Lehmann. Von 1969 bis 1981 war Bedford Komponist am Queen's College London. Von 1968 bis 1980 unterrichtete er Musik an mehreren High Schools in London. 1996 wurde er zum Komponisten der englischen Sinfonia ernannt. 2001 wurde er nach seiner Tätigkeit als Vizepräsident zum Präsidenten der Performing Rights Association ernannt.
