Ivan Lacković Croata ist ein naiver kroatischer Maler. Lacković wurde in einer Bauernfamilie im Dorf Batinske bei Kalinovac geboren. Nach Abschluss der Grundschule arbeitete er als Lohnarbeiter auf den Feldern und in den Wäldern. Dieser autodidaktische Maler zeichnete 1944 seine ersten Aquarellbilder, die das Dorfleben illustrierten. 1952 zeichnete er sein erstes Gemälde. Lackovi2. 1954 zog er nach Kloštar Podravski. Dort verbrachte er drei Jahre und malte sein erstes Ölgemälde. Dann zog er nach Zagreb, wo er als Postmeister und Postbote arbeitete. 1962 lernte er Krsto Hegedušić kennen und gelegentlich in seinem Hauptstudio. Seine erste Einzelausstellung bei der Grafikdesignfirma HAZU im Jahr 1964 bestätigte seinen Ruf als Meisterdesigner. Er verließ diese Position im Jahr 1968 und wurde ein professioneller Maler. Er zeichnete poetische Szenen aus seiner Heimatstadt Podravina in Tempera und Öl auf Glas, während er sich immer mehr den Mitteln der Malerei zuwendet.
