Jake Williams is an English electronic music producer and composer, currently recording under the name Rex the Dog. Rex The Dog is currently released on Kompakt Records. As Rex The Dog, Williams is a fan of DIY electronics and a live artist with a homemade modular synthesizer. Williams was first noticed by the public as JX in 1994 following a recording deal with Hooj Choons, an independent UK dance label. Williams also recorded under the name Mekka and wrote the song "Bullet In The Gun" as part of Paul Oakenfold's Planet Perfecto collective.
